Ranking of total strength of special-mission aircraft fleets by operating national power.



New to 2020, the Global Firepower ranking no includes total Special-Mission fleet strength by individual operating country. These aircraft are those platforms specifically designed or developed to accomplish an over-battlefield role by utilization of advanced onboard equipment or specialized trait. Examples include Airborne Early Warning (AEW), Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA), and Electronic Warfare (EW) platforms.
